100 km/h Approval for Trailers
With the 100 km/h approval, you may drive your caravan or trailer at 100 km/h on German motorways — provided the towing vehicle and trailer meet the technical requirements. We check the requirements and issue the report.
Requirements for 100 km/h Approval
Under § 18 (5) StVO in conjunction with the 8th exemption regulation, certain trailer combinations may travel at 100 km/h on motorways. Requirements include a suitable towing vehicle with ABS, modern, approved tyres on the trailer, and a matching tyre speed rating.
We check the technical requirements of the towing vehicle and trailer, determine eligibility, and issue the report for the registration office.
